You don’t ever think you’re going to meet the love of your life at 15 years old. At fifteen you don’t know yourself yet, so how are you supposed to mold yourself to another? Well, for Jon and Anay it wasn’t so much a conscious choice as a natural evolution of love that developed strong roots and grew deeper and deeper over the years. (I mean, she kind of rejected him way back when so….kudos to Jon for having a “not giving up,” spirit! It’s definitely the spark that landed you two here today….)
Their love for one another turned into fun, adventures, moves, school, and support for each others career development and goals (ultimate support will be reached when they move to Canada for Jon’s job…..hahaha….I’m KIDDING Anay! But really, I know all the winter tricks should you ever find yourselves that far north…..) and as they have grown together, it became time to take the next step to bond themselves together in marriage!
The day was BEAUTIFUL. The skies opened up and gave us blue and a little bit of unseasonal warmth, but HEY, it’s Memphis!
Heartwood Hall is always fantastic. It is one of my favorite venues here in town to shoot at because the owners and staff are so incredibly accommodating and it truly is a one-stop shop, which makes it such a streamlined and smooth planning experience.
Jon & Anay spent the day primping with their closest friends. We managed to break a bed frame, TOTALLY on accident, but see the priceless faces below! We also managed to sneak in a heartfelt “first touch,” where they read special declarations to one another in private before the ceremony, and you better believe we took time for a White Claw toast with the ladies!
The day was magical and after a sweet ceremony officiated by Jon’s uncle and once the two had become Mr. and Mrs. Williamson, they captivated everyone at the reception with their newly perfected dancing skills. They shared both a first and a last dance, which I really loved.
In addition to the wonderful reception traditions like cutting the cakes and garter/bouquet toss, Anay’s Phi Mu sisters serenaded her with an adorable song written after the Little Mermaids, “Under the Sea.” It was an excellent performance!
After many laughs, a fellow sister busted out her best “worm,” and a sparkly sparkler exit….the newlyweds drove off and jetted off to Turks and Caicos! Cheers you two! All of my love, and best wishes for years of good health and happiness together.
A very special thank you to all of the AMAZING vendors who work hard to make Jon and Anay’s wedding day a huge success!
